Old Timers Meeting May 13, 2024

Membership is a privilege. There is a tradition at Erie County Conservation Society that recognizes members that have retained their membership for a number of years.   The Society issues a commemorative pin engraved with the number of years of membership.  At our May 13th meeting, I received my 20-year pin.  It is an honor being a member of a club that supports such traditions and that works hard to maintain the amenities that all members enjoy.

A special note of recognition goes to George Rockey who received his 60 year membership pin.  He represents The Society for the Erie County Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs, he actively participates in National Hunting and Fishing Day – helping to educate the community as a representative of Ducks Unlimited.  He represents The Society at the Erie County Fair – logging many hours far above what is expected of any member.  He is also has been inducted into the NYS Outdoor Hall of Fame.

We are fortunate that George Rockey calls The Society his home club.
